With its setting on one of Brightons finest squares and with breathtaking views of the seafront and the spectral West Pier, George IV Guesthouse is an ideal place to stay to get a true flavour of Brighton. Close to dozens of restaurants and bars, and a short walk from the citys theatre, conferencing and nightlife quarters, not to mention the beach out front, its perfect whether youre here on business or pleasure. Half of our rooms have wonderful views across the square to the sea, including the gorgeous balcony room for a spot of pure indulgence (not available on LateRooms, sorry!). Offering a warm and friendly welcome, Steve and Sue are there to ensure you have a great stay and the guesthouse comes highly recommended. Just out front there is a handy, but out-of-sight, underground public car park. Please note the guesthouse is non-smoking throughout.

George IV - Directions:
1. Train On arrival at Brighton station were:- a 12-15 minute walk. The most straightforward route is to head south out of the station towards the sea. When you reach the seafront, turn right until you get to the rusting remains of the old West Pier, and the first open square on your right. We are at the top right hand corner of the square;or- a five-minute bus ride and five-minute walk. The number 6 goes every ten minutes from outside the station (less often in the evening). You want the the stop opposite Primark in Western Road. When you get off, keep going the way the bus is headed and after 100m turn left into Preston Street. Take the third left into Regency Square. Were about 70m along, at the north-eastern corner of the square;or- a five minute taxi ride. 2. Car Simply keep heading south until you get to the seafront. Theres a one-way system to negotiate - just follow the signs to the town centreseafront. This should bring you to a roundabout at the main pier. Turn right at the roundabout. After you pass the Metropole Hotel on your right and the old West Pier on your left, turn right into Preston St at the next traffic lights (China Garden restaurant is on the corner). Then take the first right and you are in Regency Square. We are at the north-east corner of the square. (These directions assume youll be coming down the A23.) There is an underground public car park in the square directly opposite the guesthouse. 3. Coach If you arriving by coach at Pool Valley (the final stop), find the sea-front road pretty obvious - and turn right so that you have the sea on your left. Keep going until you reach the rusting old West Pier - we are in the square opposite, in the north-east corner (top right as you stand with your back to the sea).4. Plane Frequent train services run to and from Gatwick and take 30-40 minutes. From Heathrow the best way to get here is by coach.
